In a dramatic turn, the N100 Power Panel has advanced four startups (rather than the expected three) to the Board Room and the Finals of N100 Evolution, after an exciting Pitch Contest Semi-Final event held in the Innovation Commons at Venture13 on September 13, 2018. They are: Able Innovations, Argentum Electronics, Convictional Commerce and EmulGreen Labs. We would like to thank all of the competitors for your fine efforts and willingness to pitch to the N100 Power Panel before a live studio audience. We had a packed house and overflow seating, making for an electric atmosphere. Our newest N100 Corporate Sponsor CCO Productions made the Audience Choice Best Pitch Award part of the mix with a $2,500 take home cash prize snagged by Chris Grouchy from Convictional Commerce. You can read about Chris Oliver from CCO Productions in a previous N100 post (click here).

The contributions from our N100 Power Panel were greatly appreciated as always: thank you, Paul Godin (Chair), Jodi Glover, Doug Armstrong and Blake Witkin.

Thank you to our event sponsors:

A special thank you to Cultivate for providing a fantastic door prize (their Big Weekend is coming up, September 21-23, don’t miss it!).

What’s next? The four N100 Finalists will next take part in a preparatory Board Room presentations skills workshop at Venture13 with Cobourg native and Director of Key Accounts at Sampler, Brittany Ugolini, before heading into the Board Room on October 17 to make full investment presentations to Northumberland CFDC’s Board of Directors. In the meantime, they will submit business plans and DD packages for review ahead of the final stage of our $250,000 open invitational biennial technology startup competition, with the winner(s) to be announced in November.

Thank you to all for all attending, from far and wide!

John Hayden, for the N100 Team.
