About the Competition
N100 is a new entrepreneurship competition led by Northumberland CFDC in partnership with Spark Centre
and the N100 Power Panel. Startups compete for $100,000 in early-stage investment through a series of three Rounds: the Pitch Contest, Business Planning and Negotiation. N100 addresses the pre-Angel funding gap in Ontario by providing seed capital to innovation-driven enterprises that will establish a presence and impact in Northumberland. Read more
Registration is currently closed. Stay tuned: the competition will start up again in January, 2014.
What people are saying about N100
“Beyond the skyscrapers and freeways of the Toronto region, entrepreneurs in Eastern Ontario are gearing up for a new initiative in local business. N100 is giving businesses in Eastern Ontario a jump start, but it's also blazing trails for opportunities in other smaller urban centres.”
IT Business Canada
“Might the next Silicon Valley North be in Eastern Ontario? It will be if the Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation and Spark Centre, the local regional innovation centre, have their way.”
“Will Vancouver be the Silicon Valley of Canada? Maybe Kitchener-Waterloo is the best candidate for SV North. What about Northumberland, Ontario? The Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation (CDFC) thinks the small town one hour East of Toronto has a good chance at becoming a startup hotspot—and it's setting its sights on innovation-driven startups.”
